I didn't know what God was doing a little over two years ago when I started Holy Pause. A beautiful community of women have come together to pause and notice God in their ordinary lives and take what we are learning and who we are becoming into their families, jobs, friendships, churches all for the sake of others and sharing Christ's love.

I have made retreats a part of my yearly rhythm. Maybe you are wondering why take a retreat. It's not easy to take time to get away and lay aside distractions but retreats can be transforming. Jesus modeled coming away and He said it was a way to provide rest for our souls. Resting in the Father's love! I find God meets me there in loving ways and invites me to BEING with Him and lay aside the DOING for a day or weekend or week. We need to take time to remember whose we are and BE in His Presence! It is a day to receive.

Receive His Love. Receive His Presence. Receive His Gentle Whispers.

Rest.
