Let's gooooooo!!!! Jesus was always inviting us to go. Go be with Him. Go share the good news and let Him do what only He can do! Jesus invited his friends to go with Him across the lake. He knew what was ahead and how He would do something his friends couldn't fathom in their storm. I invite you to spend a few minutes in a Holy Pause today in Mark 4:35-41. May you grow deeper in your journey with Him as this Holy Pause.

Feel free to print these verses and Holy Pause Invitations and go away for a few minutes and invite God to speak to you. Let Him be with you and remind you that you are His Beloved.

The Wind Ran Out of Breath

Mark 4:35-41 MSG

Late that day he said to them, “Let’s go across to the other side.”

They took him in the boat as he was.

Other boats came along.

A huge storm came up.

Waves poured into the boat, threatening to sink it.

And Jesus was in the stern, head on a pillow, sleeping!

They roused him, saying, Awake now, he told the wind to pipe down and said to the sea, “Quiet! Settle down!”

The wind ran out of breath; the sea became smooth as glass.

Jesus reprimanded the disciples: “Why are you such cowards? Don’t you have any faith at all?”

Holy Pause

Pause…simply be with Jesus. Breathe. Step into the scripture.  What stands out to you? What do you notice? Circle or highlight what resonates with you. Where are you in this story? What storm are you in right now? It could be an inner storm.

Pray…Come as you are.  Listen in the silence. Step into the scripture again. Have a conversation with God.  Is Jesus saying something to you in your storm? What would you like to say to Him?  Are you drawn to repentance in an area of your life that God wants to bring wholeness.

Follow…What are my invitations today? Where will I follow God today? Maybe following means you invite Jesus into your storm and allow Him to show you where He wants you to follow Him even when it is scary. He loves you deeply.  Our storms don’t surprise Him.
